Russian troops continue to focus efforts on holding the captured territories, attempt to fully occupy Donetsk Region, as well as disrupt the active actions of the Defence Forces in certain areas, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in its evening update on the 215th day of Russia's full-scale invasion.
Russian troops trying to regain lost positions in certain areas, conduct aerial reconnaissance and strikes at civilian infrastructure, violating the norms of international humanitarian law, laws and customs of warfare, the General Staff said.
The threat of air and missile strikes remains on the whole territory of Ukraine. Today Russia carried out two missile and four air strikes, and over seven attacks from MLRS. Also, the enemy used strike UAVs near the village of Bilenke, Odesa Region.
Russian strikes damaged 12 settlements, including Zaporizhzhya, Marhanets, Musiyivka, Nikopol, Potyomkyne, Osokorivka, Mykolayiv and Ochakiv.
During the day, Ukrainian troops repelled Russian attacks in the areas of Spirne, Soledar, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Mayorsk, Kamyanka, Pobeda and Pavlivka.
Ukrainian aviation conducted about 20 strikes, reliably destroying 13 clusters of Russian manpower and military equipment, a position of armoured vehicles and five positions of anti-aircraft missile systems. Detailed Russian losses are being checked.
Missile troops and artillery today struck three command posts, five clusters of manpower and equipment, a position of anti-aircraft missile systems, two units of missile troops and artillery, three ammunition depots, as well as 12 separate important targets.
