A total of 50 M113 armoured personnel carriers provided by Lithuania have already arrived in Ukraine, Lithuanian Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas has said, as quoted by Delfi.
"As for the military support for Ukraine, Lithuania has supported and will support it. Let me remind you that just three days ago, our armoured vehicles, which we sent, reached Ukraine, and now 50 M113 armoured personnel carriers have been transferred to this country," Anušauskas said today following the meeting of the State Defense Council.
He pointed out that Lithuania was considering further possible support for Ukraine in consultation with NATO partners. The country must fulfill its obligations to the Alliance to ensure the safety of servicemen deployed in Lithuania.
