Ukraine has abandoned rolling blackouts due to stabilization of electricity supply, the Chairman of the Board of the National Power Company (NPC) Volodymyr Kudrytskyy announced on FB.
"Last night, no dispatching restrictions were applied in Kyiv, the region and the entire central part of the country, restrictions in the north-eastern regions of Ukraine were lifted from 19.55. Today, we so far do not plan to introduce emergency shutdown schedules either in the morning or in the evening," - the statement reads.
According to him, it became possible due to the fact that the specialists of "Ukrenergo" and regional power companies stabilized the energy supply in all regions of Ukraine, as well as due to the economical consumption of electricity by Ukrainian citizens, including residents of the centre of Ukraine.
In addition, Kudrytskyy reminded that Ukrainians should be prepared for new attacks of the enemy and assured that Ukrenergo, as a transmission system operator, is doing everything to protect its infrastructure and quickly restore it.
The recommendation to reduce consumption during peak periods in the power system: in the morning from 8 to 11 and in the evening from 17 to 23 hours remains unchanged.
"Missile attacks prompt us to develop the habit of responsible electricity and gas consumption. Therefore, we still recommend, if possible, to shift the use of powerful electrical appliances to night hours, when the level of consumption in the power system is the lowest. This will help us stabilize the power system and safely handle the heating season this winter," he wrote.
