Russian occupiers are collecting blood from residents of occupied Melitopol for the wounded soldiers of the Russian army by force and deception, the city's exiled mayor Ivan Fedorov has said.
"The occupiers are forcing collaborators - employees of the public sector and housing and utility services - to give blood on a mandatory basis," Fedorov said.
According to him, numerous announcements about the need to donate blood are posted throughout the city every day. They indicate that blood is needed for women after childbirth and cancer patients.
"However, given the fact that refrigerators with the bodies of ruscists liquidated in the Kherson area and the wounded from all over the region of hostilities are constantly brought to Melitopol, we understand which 'patients' require blood," he said.
