Russian troops launched Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea, which targeted critical infrastructure in western Ukraine, the Air Command West has said on Facebook.
"The fact that the ruscists continue to attack civilians, launch missile strikes at important infrastructure facilities… only means that Russia is scared," the Command added.
Ukraine's air defence destroyed four Russian cruise missiles in the west and one on the south, the General Staff specified.
A number of explosions were reported in Ukraine's western regions earlier today. Three missiles targeted Lviv Region, one of which was downed by air defence. The other two hit a military facility. Air defence was also activated in Chernivtsi and Ternopil regions.
