Russia continues to focus its efforts on trying to reach the administrative border of Donetsk Region, as well as to hold the captured areas of Kharkiv, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya, Mykolayiv and Kherson regions, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff said on Facebook on the evening of the 232nd day of Ukraine's resistance to Russia's full-scale invasion.
Russian troops continued to strike at critical infrastructure and civilian facilities of our country. Over the day, the infrastructure and civilians in Kostyantynivka, Chumaky, Lebedynske, Zaporizhzhya, Davydiv Brid, Myrne and Ochakiv have suffered.
Russia used Iranian-made cruise, aviation, anti-aircraft guided missiles and attack unmanned aerial vehicles. In total, over the current day, the occupiers carried out three missile and 10 air strikes, carried out up to 10 attacks from multiple rocket launchers.
The situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors saw no significant changes.
The Belarusian leadership continues to assist Russia in its military aggression against Ukraine. Thus, according to available information, another echelon with weapons, military equipment and ammunition arrived from Homel in occupied Crimea.
The enemy also carried out attacks:
in the Sivershchyna direction - from mortars and cannon artillery, near the settlements of Ukrayinske and Atynske, Sumy Region;
in the Slobozhanshchyna direction - from mortars, cannon and rocket artillery, near the settlements of Strilecha, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Zelene, Starytsya, Dvorichna and Hryanykivka;
in the Kramatorsk direction - from artillery of various types, in the areas of the settlements of Pershotravneve, Nadiya, Novoyehorivka, Olhivka, Hrekivka, Yampolivka, Terny, Zarichne, Torske;
in the Bakhmut direction - from tanks, mortars, cannon and rocket artillery in the areas of more than 15 settlements along the entire contact line. In particular, Siversk, Bilohorivka, Hryhorivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Kostyantynivka, Opytne, Ivanhrad;
in the Avdiyivka sector - from tanks and artillery of various caliber in the areas of Berdychi, Avdiyivka, Pervomayske, Vodyane, Opytne, Nevelske and Maryinka.
In the Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhzhya directions Russia did not conduct offensive actions and continues to equip positions for defence. They fired from mortars, cannon and rocket artillery at more than 20 areas of settlements. Among them are Novosilka, Vremivka, Novopil, Neskuchne, Zolota Nyva, Vuhledar, Kamyanske and Bilohirya.
In the Pivdenny Buh direction, more than 30 settlements along the contact line were hit by fire. In the temporarily occupied city of Kherson, Russians seized 13 out of 15 barge-type vessels from the local river port to transport personnel and equipment across the Dnipro River.
In Crimea, the occupying authorities issued an order setting the procedure for the evacuation of museums. In particular, plans of internal (within the occupied region) and external (to the territory of the Russian Federation) evacuation were approved for local museums. Exhibits of the greatest material value are subject to priority evacuation.
According to updated information, the destruction of a significant number of enemy personnel over the previous days has been confirmed. Thus, as a result of effective actions of the Defence Forces in the areas of Khlibodarivka, Donetsk Region, Tokmak, Zaporizhzhya Region and Tokarivka, Kherson Region, the occupiers lost up to 150 people killed and about 100 wounded. Also 3 S-300 systems and up to 10 units of other weapons and military equipment were destroyed.
According to preliminary information, in the area of the railway station in the town of Antratsyt, Luhansk Region, Ukrainian troops destroyed a significant part of Russian weapons and military equipment transported by rail. The amount and nature of damage is being specified.
Over the day, the aviation of the Defence Forces has conducted 13 strikes. The destruction of 12 clusters of weapons and military equipment, as well as one enemy anti-aircraft missile system was confirmed.
Missile troops and artillery hit three command posts, eight clusters of manpower, weapons and military equipment and three ammunition depots.
As of today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated 1,620 settlements from Russian occupiers.
