Russian troops have fired missiles at Kharkiv from Belgorod, the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Synyehubov, has said.
Non-residential buildings were damaged.
According to medics' early reports, people were not hurt.
Russia also targeted Kharkiv and the wider region last night.
