Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the introduction of his "martial law" in the occupied territories of Ukraine, pro-Kremlin media stated.

The illegitimate decree concerns parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which the invading country calls "people's republics", as well as temporarily seized parts of Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions.

Martial law has been in force there since February 24 - it was introduced by the decree of the President of Ukraine together with other territories.

It is not yet known what activities the occupiers are going to carry out in these territories, the "decree" says that this should be decided within three days.

Russians are spreading disinformation that Ukrainian defenсe forces are "preparing to shell" Kherson. All collaborators have reportedly left this temporarily occupied city. Russians also announced that they are going to "evacuate" 60,000 Kherson residents. The Centre for Countering Disinformation noted that this pretext will be used to deport Ukrainians.
