The Centre for Countering Disinformation (CCD) has warned about the Russian fake news about the "preparation of Kherson shelling" by Ukrainian defenders. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have never conducted targeted shelling of civilians, let alone informed the occupiers about their plans.
In a message in Telegram, the CCD said that the occupiers send messages to the residents of the occupied city about the alleged preparation for massive shelling of the city by the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
"We warn you! This information is not true!" - the statement reads.
Besides, the commander of the enemy's army S. Surovikin announced the "evacuation" of Kherson residents because of the alleged preparation of a strike on Kherson and the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
"This disinformation is aimed at inciting panic and deporting as many Ukrainians as possible under the guise of "evacuation"!" - the Centre warned.
According to the occupiers, they plan to evacuate 60,000 Ukrainians under the guise of evacuation.
Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim warned that Russian occupational troops are preparing positions, probably to shell Kherson. At the same time, they claim that the shelling will be carried out by the Ukrainian defenсe forces.
