President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff. The participants heard the reports of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, and the commanders of the operational sector on the frontline situation, coordinated the actions of the defence forces on repelling Russian aggression and liberating Ukrainian territories.

Also, reports on the measures being taken to strengthen and protect the state border of Ukraine was heard.

"Separately, the participants considered the provision of weapons and ammunition to the units, as well as the preparation of troops for the winter period. In addition, the participants of the meeting analysed the progress in the restoration of energy facilities affected by Russian attacks and measures to ensure air defence of Ukraine's critical infrastructure," the presidential office said.

The meeting was attended by presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak, the secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danilov, Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, the chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, the chief of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Ground Forces Commander Oleksandr Syrskyy and commanders of the operational sectors.

The meeting was also attended by Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyy, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov, other members of the government, heads of law enforcement agencies.

On 2 November, the Staff discussed the restoration of energy infrastructure after the Russian shelling.
