Russian troops are regrouping and taking measures to partially withdraw to the left bank of the Dnipro in the South Buh area. At the same time, Russians continue shelling the de-occupied territories and the rear.
In turn, our troops at the junction of Kherson and Mykolayiv regions moved the front line by 7 km. Almost 260 sq km of territories and 12 settlements have been liberated, the Operational Command South reported on the situation at the front as of today.
"In the morning, the occupiers-terrorists fired at the recently liberated Zolota Balka of the Novooleksandrivka community in Kherson Region. They tried to hit the humanitarian aid distribution points and administrative buildings of the authorities. Private yards were damaged. There were no casualties," it said.
The military called on Ukrainians to observe information silence. The liberation of territories and settlements continues, but making this information public requires a set of measures to ensure the safety of the population and units.
Yesterday, the occupiers announced the decision to "withdraw troops" from Kherson and surrounding settlements to the left bank of the Dnipro. As of Thursday morning, the General Staff neither confirmed nor denied the so-called withdrawal of Russian troops. They also stressed that the probable withdrawal of the enemy from Kherson is the result of active actions of the defence forces.
