Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has confirmed that the UK government would send a further 1,000 surface-to-air missiles and more than 25,000 extreme cold winter kits to Ukraine.
He said this in a Twitter post following a conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"A Russian withdrawal from Kherson would be strong progress, but it is right to be cautious until the Ukrainian flag flies over the city again," Sunak said.
For his part, Zelenskyy noted that they had also discussed the support of the "grain corridor" through which Ukrainian agricultural products are exported to the countries that need it.
Great Britain is one of the most powerful allies of Ukraine that helps in the fight against the Russian invasion. In addition to heavy weapons and humanitarian aid, the British are training the Ukrainian military. The government has also frozen 18bn pounds belonging to sanctioned Russians.
