During today's massive attack, Russia fired more than 90 missiles at Ukraine, over 70 of them were shot down by air defence.
However, 15 energy infrastructure facilities were hit, according to a deputy head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
As a result of the attack, there were emergency power cuts in Kyiv, Vinnytsya, Volyn, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions.
In total, more than 7 million consumers (the number of actual people is even higher) are disconnected from the grid.
Power engineers are working on restoring power supply.
Near Kyiv alone, air defence shot down 18 out of 21 Russian missiles. Residential buildings were damaged in the capital.
