UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak met Ukrainian rescuers in Kyiv, the press service of the State Emergency Service has said.
Together with SES chief Serhiy Kruk, he visited one of the fire stations in Ukraine's capital.
"You inspire us with your courage and encourage us to take decisive action," he said, addressing the rescuers.
Kruk, for his part, noted that the British are our reliable friends and partners.
"We are grateful for the help of the British people and government, who have been supporting our rescuers since the first days of the war," he said.
