Russians heavily mined occupied Sievierodonetsk in Luhansk Region, with no demining being carried out in residential areas, the head of the Severodonetsk city military administration, Oleksandr Stryuk, has sid, as quoted by the Luhansk regional military administration.
"Collaborators in the city are on tenterhooks because of the approaching front line. We are waiting for good news from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On the eve of winter, workers were brought to Severodonetsk to connect some houses to communications," he said.
According to him, the area around the city was mined by Russian troops.
"No systematic demining was carried out in residential areas. Unexploded shells have been lying near the houses for months," said Stryuk.
According to earlier reports, Russian occupiers removed modern medical equipment from the hospital in Severodonetsk, Luhansk Region.
Earlier, a training camp for mobilised soldiers was deployed in Severodonetsk.
