The defence minister has dismissed the entroubled president of the public joint stock company Motor Sich, Vyacheslav Bohuslayev, and appointed Oleksiy Nikiforov its director-general.
The Defence Ministry said that the supervisory board was also reshuffled and Deputy Economy Minister Ihor Fomenko was appointed its chairman.
Other new board members are Roman Konovalov, Serhiy Korzh, Yuriy Pashchenko and Yuriy Shapoval.
"From now on, the strategic enterprise will work 24/7 to meet the defence needs of the state. The potential of the labour collective will be fully used. Motor Sich will develop and produce products in the interests of Ukraine and the Armed Forces," the Defence Ministry said.
In October, counterintelligence and SBU investigators detained Bohuslayev and the head of one of the company's departments. According to the investigation, the management of the Zaporizhzhya-based plant established transnational channels for the illegal supply of wholesale consignments of Ukrainian aircraft engines to Russia.
In November, the SBU prevented the removal of an elite car fleet, weapons and antiques belonging to Bohuslayev from Ukraine.
