Spanish police seized three envelopes from a post office addressed to the Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid, the Consulate General in Barcelona and the Consulate in Malaga, Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko said on Facebook.
Nikolenko noted that this is the 21st case of threats to Ukrainian embassies and consulates in 12 countries.
"As Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has already noted, Ukrainian diplomats cannot be intimidated or broken. We will continue to work effectively to protect Ukraine from the enemy and to ensure our victory," the speaker added.
On 30 November, the Embassy of Ukraine in Madrid received a package addressed to the Ambassador. When opened by the commandant, it exploded. The man was slightly injured.
On 2 December, several Ukrainian embassies and consulates received packages soaked in blood. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine considers it a well-planned campaign of terror and intimidation of Ukrainian embassies and consulates.
