On the eastern front, the Russian military uses banned K-51 chloropicrin grenades with a strong irritating effect against the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Ukrainian Navy has said on Telegram.
"The terrorist state uses prohibited chemical weapons - K-51 aerosol grenades. The occupiers are dropping chloropicrin grenades from drones on our defenders in the east," it said.
Ukrainian marines were defending their positions while wearing hazmat suits.
