Heat supply to the Korabel district in Kherson has been temporarily suspended due to Russian shelling, the Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration Yaroslav Yanushevych wrote on Telegram.
"Due to the Russian shelling, the pumping and electric transformer stations supplying water to the boiler house, which provides heat to the micro-district, were damaged. Due to the increased danger, repair crews cannot quickly eliminate the breakdowns of the heating network. Therefore, it is impossible to provide a stable heat supply now. Water will be drained from the system. This is a necessary measure to protect the heating network from damage," - he wrote.
According to him, the relevant decision was made by the Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations of the Kherson City Military Administration.
Also, according to the head of the regional administration, there is a high probability that the Korabel district may be left with no electricity supply due to constant Russian shelling.
"Due to the difficult situation in the Korabel district, we urge Kherson residents to evacuate to safer regions. The opportunity for this is present! Kherson Regional Military Administration is ready to help you with evacuation," Yanushevych wrote.
On 14 December, in the morning, Russian troops shelled Kherson with multiple rocket launchers.
Among others, the occupiers also shelled the building of the regional administration. Two floors were damaged. Preliminary - without casualties.
