The State Border Service of Ukraine is not recording any movement of military equipment or manpower to the shared border from Belarus, the spokesman for the State Border Service, Andriy Demchenko, has said on the air of the national telethon, Ukrayinska Pravda reports.

"At the moment, fortunately, the situation on the border with Belarus remains under full control. We do not record any movement of equipment or soldiers on the other side of the border. Of course, Belarus - as previously noted, and this has been going on for some time - has strengthened its border with our country. We have repeatedly emphasized this. They seem to see some kind of threat from our side. And those units that were thrown to strengthen the border, they are remaining, neither their number nor the nature of their actions has changed," Demchenko said.

According to him, Ukraine's focus is on the territory deeper into Belarus, where Belarus and Russia are holding joint exercises, sudden checks of the combat readiness of the Belarusian army and the like take place.

He noted that recently Belarus had been constantly escalating the situation in order to force Ukraine to keep a significant number of troops near the border. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defence Forces are monitoring the situation and doing everything to be ready for any threat.
