As of 24 December, there is a significant shortage of electricity in the power system of Ukraine.

According to the energy company Ukrenergo, one of the power stations stopped working due to shelling and damage.

Restrictions in the power transmission system continue, with all regions having been assigned consumption limits.

"The most difficult situation is in Kyiv and Kyiv Region, which arose as a result of yet another drone attack on 19 December, as well as in the east and south, where Russia launched new artillery strikes on the frontline areas and damaged energy infrastructure facilities. Where possible, repair works are carried out around the clock," Ukrenergo reported.

The regime of temporary controlled emergency shutdowns is applied in the capital.

Earlier, Yasno reported that the right bank of Kyiv could not receive significant amounts of electricity due to damage to key points. The overall situation with electricity supply in Kyiv remains unchanged. The Energy Ministry named the regions where most violations of power outage schedules were recorded. Among them are Volyn, Kyiv, Poltava, Mykolayiv, Odesa and Kyiv regions.
