Border guards and customs officers prevented the smuggling of a helicopter KA-26 from Ukraine to Hungary through the Tysa checkpoint in Transcarpathian Region. It was being transported by a truck with Ukrainian registration, the State Border Service has said.
While inspecting the helicopter, law enforcers got suspicious and pulled the truck out of the queue for a more thorough check.
The transport documents were found to contain false information about the manufacturer.
As a result, the helicopter was seized. It is worth over 924,000 hryvnyas.
