The situation at the front will not change radically soon, not even with mobilized occupiers. Russia is in a deadlock and is "trying to try" to attack only in Bakhmut, the head of the Ukrainian Defence Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov said in an interview with Liga.net.
"There are no particular successes in this area. Since August, they keep saying that Bakhmut is almost captured. As you can see, it is already the end of December. The only place where they are trying to concentrate their forces is a little north of Bakhmut and towards Zaporizhzhya. But we see no real ability to achieve anything. Russians have already made several attempts of small local offensives. All of them were detected in advance and ended in nothing for them," he explained.
Budanov added that he would not comment on the actions of the defence forces.
A few days ago, Budanov noted that there was no intelligence about an imminent threat of invasion from Belarus, although such a possibility cannot be completely ruled out.
