The number of incidents like today's explosion at the Engels airfield in Russia is growing. And it will continue, an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Mykhaylo Podolyak, has said, 24 Kanal reports.

According to him, the military destroy everything related to the Russian occupiers in the internationally recognized territories of Ukraine.

And everything that happens at military facilities in Russia is the consequences of the war and loss of control over the processes. The Kremlin cannot control it.

"All these incidents in Russia are the consequences of the war as such. These incidents are not modeled. They are not controlled by Russia. This indicates the loss of vertical control. Therefore, in my opinion, there will be a lot of such incidents, in particular in Engels," Podolyak said.

He noted that Ukraine would destroy Russian occupying troops in all temporarily occupied territories. The military have a legal right to do so.

Explosions were reported at the military airfield in Engels, Russia's Saratov Region last night. According to Russian media, three people were killed, but the planes were allegedly not damaged.

The Russian Defence Ministry later said that the airfield was attacked by strike drones. It should be noted that the city of Saratov is located on the right bank of the Volga River. On the other bank is the satellite town of Engels, which serves the air base of the same name. Earlier, Russian strategic bombers were blown up at this airfield. Russian bombers take off from this base to carry out missile strikes on Ukraine.

According to the spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ihnat, the explosions at the military airfield in Engels are the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
