UP and Radio Liberty report that on 26 December, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau searched the coordinator of the Big Construction project Yuriy Holyk. The investigative actions took place in a cottage town in Kyiv.
Yesterday's searches were related to the "Big Construction" and took place in Dnipro, in particular, at the head of the Regional State Administration Valentyn Reznichenko and at the contractor company engaged in the restoration of infrastructure. This is Budinvest Engineering, associated with Reznichenko's girlfriend Yana Khlanta.
"As it was stated in the previously published investigations of Schemes and Ukrainian Pravda, Yuriy Holyk calls himself a consultant of the "Big Construction" project and is present at key meetings of the Presidential Office on plans for the reconstruction of Ukraine. According to the journalists, he is close to the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Valentyn Reznichenko, who, as previously reported, was searched by the NABU, and to his girlfriend, a fitness trainer from Dnipro, Yana Khlanta, who co-owned the private company Budinvest Engineering, which received record budget contracts for roads during the full-scale war," the journalists noted.
Holyk did not comment on the investigation to journalists.
The journalists of the Schemes series found out that the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration allocated a record-breaking UAH 2,314 billion for the reconstruction of roads in the region. The amount is higher than that allocated in the regions where the roads suffered from Russian shelling much more.
