As part of the Grain Initiative, 11 vessels exported 422,000 tons of agricultural products to African, Asian and European countries in two days from the ports of Odesa Region.

Among them is the bulk carrier ALANDA STAR with 30.8 thousand tons of wheat for Egypt, as well as the tanker EUROCHAMPION with 45 thousand tons of oil for India, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported.

"The key obstacle in the work of the "grain corridor" remains Russia’s blocking of ships inspection in the Bosporus under various pretexts. This led to a stable queue of 90+ vessels, millions of losses of cargo owners, under-export of at least 5-6 million tons during the year," the Ministry of Infrastructure noted.

Russians want to slow down the process of ship inspections. First, they reduced the number of inspection teams to three, and now they have started to delay the time of the inspections. Representatives of the Russian Federation began to check even indicators not provided for in the documents and have nothing to do with the subject of the inspection (for example, whether the ship's units are working well, how much fuel there is, etc.) With this algorithm, the inspection of one vessel takes from 4 hours.
