Over the past day, the enemy launched a missile strike and made 33 attacks from multiple rocket launchers, in particular on civilian objects in the city of Kherson, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Facebook on the morning of the 308th day of the Russian large-scale invasion, according to Ukrinform.
The danger of enemy air and missile strikes on the critical infrastructure of the country persists.
The enemy continues to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka areas and tries to improve its tactical position in the Lyman area.
Ukrainian soldiers repelled enemy attacks outside the settlements of Ploshchanka and Chervonopivka in Luhansk Region and Spirne, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Andriyivka, Klishchiyivka, Avdiyivka, Vodyane, Marinka, Pobeda and Zolota Nyva in Donetsk Region.
In Volyn, Polissya, Siversk and Slobozhansk areas, the situation remains stable, no signs of the formation of offensive groups were detected.
In other areas, the enemy is defending previously occupied lines, concentrating its efforts on restraining the actions of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
In northeastern Ukraine, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Mefedivka, Tovstodubove and Vovkivka in Sumy Region, as well as Hlyboke, Starytsia, Ohirtseve and Vovchansk in Kharkiv Region.
In the Kupyansk area, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Novomlynsk, Tavilzhanka, Dvorichne, Kupyansk, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove and Pershotravneve in Kharkiv Region and Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka and Kolomyichykha in Luhansk Region.
In the Lyman area, Ploshanka and Dibrova in Luhansk Region, as well as Yampolivka, Torske and Hryhorivka in Donetsk Region, came under fire.
In the Bakhmut area, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Spirne, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Soledar, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Opytne, Stupochky, Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka, Bila Hora, Oleksandro-Shultye, Kurdiumivka, Ozaryanivka, Mayorsk and New York in Donetsk Region.
In the Avdiyivka area, the enemy fired at Vodyane, Pervomayske, Marinka and Novomykhaylivka in Donetsk Region.
In the Novopavlivka area, the enemy shelled Vuhledar, Novoukrayinka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Vremivka and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk Region.
In the Zaporizhzhya area, the enemy fired tanks and rocket artillery outside the settlements of Temyrivka, Olhivske, Poltavka, Malynivka, Dorozhnyanka, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriyivka, Shcherbaky, Kamyanske and Plavni in Zaporizhzhya Region.
In the Kherson area, the enemy continues mortar and artillery shelling of populated areas along the right bank of the Dnipro River. In particular, affected settlements include Chervonohryhorivka in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Antonivka in Kherson Region and the city of Kherson. Civilian casualties were recorded.
On 26 December, Ukrainian forces struck enemy positions near Chaplynka, Kherson Region, killing about 50 occupiers.
In the temporarily occupied Sevastopol, the invaders have stepped up the campaign for enlistment in the armed forces of the Russian Federation.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian rocket and artillery forces have hit a command post, seven areas of manpower and military equipment concentration, and two ammunition depots, as well as an important military object of the occupiers.
