Russian troops shelled a maternity hospital in Kherson, Health Minister Viktor Lyashko has said.
"Two babies were born in the maternity hospital today. One of the babies saw the light of the day minutes before the walls of the maternity hospital were ruined by Russian shells," Lyashko said.
He added that Russians knew exactly where they were shooting, with Ukrainian clinics and maternity hospitals becoming targets of Russian attacks on a daily basis.
Lyashko noted that neither babies nor their mothers nor hospital staff were hurt.
