Neither Ukrainians nor Russians have absolute control over the Kinburn Spit and the islands on the Dnipro near Kherson, the head of the Joint Coordination Press Centre of the Defence Forces South, Natalya Humenyuk, has said, ZN.ua reports.
"The situation is quite difficult. Again, the weather does not contribute to such an easy completion and short duration of this operation. It is also connected with the Kinburn Spit. Because the enemy is still there, attacks on the opposite shore continue. The same situation is with the islands, hostilities continue and neither side has absolute control. This is the line of contact, the front line where the fighting is going on," she said.
According to her, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to strike at the Russians' rear.
