The 318th day of the Russian large-scale invasion continues. Despite Putin's declared "ceasefire", Russian troops continue to shell the positions of Ukrainian units with tanks, mortars and cannon artillery, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in its evening update.
Russia carried out an air strike and seven attacks from multiple rocket launchers. The risk of air and missile strikes on critical infrastructure facilities across Ukraine persists.
Russian troops are focusing their efforts on conducting offensive actions at the Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Lyman sectors and is trying to improve the tactical situation at the Kupyansk sector. In the Novopavlivka, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson sectors, Russian troops continue to actively defend the previously occupied positions.
In occupied Melitopol and Pryazovske in Zaporizhzhya Region, the Russians blocked the broadcasting of all Ukrainian TV channels, only Russian TV is available.
During the day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defence Forces struck 21 clusters of Russians, as well as three strikes on the positions of its anti-aircraft missile systems. And our missile and artillery men struck four clusters of Russian manpower and two ammunition depots.
