During the day, Russian troops carried out 37 air strikes, 17 of them using Shahed-136 UAVs, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said.
All the Shaheds were shot down. Russians also launched 59 missiles, 47 of which were destroyed, and fired 53 rockets from multiple launch rocket systems.
The enemy continues to attack in the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka sectors. In the Lyman and Avdiyivka sectors, the Russians were unsuccessful in improving the tactical situation. In other areas, the invaders are on the defensive.
According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces Command, the aviation of the Defence Forces carried out eight strikes on the clusters of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as a strike on the position of Russia's anti-aircraft missile system. In addition, during the day, Ukrainian defenders shot down three Russian reconnaissance UAVs.
Missile and artillery units hit three command posts, an area of Russian manpower concentration, an area of artillery concentration and two other important military facilities.
At least 11 people were killed in another massive shelling of Ukraine by Russians on 26 January. At least 11 people were injured.
