Russia's targeted Ukraine's high-voltage infrastructure during a massive air attack on 26 January, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said at a government meeting.
According to him, this was the 13th attack on the energy system. The attacks hit five high-voltage substations in the central, southern and southwestern regions.
Shmyhal noted that this week an agreement was reached at the meeting of the so-called energy "Ramstein" to increase assistance to the Ukrainian energy system.
According to Ukrenergo, several main substations were damaged due to Russia's massive shelling on 26 January.
DTEK said that the situation with electricity in Odesa Region is still difficult, and that restoration works will last at least until the end of January.
