The 341st day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun. Over the past 24 hours, the enemy conducted air and three missile strikes, one of which was on Kharkiv; fired 44 times from multiple launch rocket systems, including at populated areas. There are wounded and dead among the civilian population, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The threat of Russian air and missile strikes throughout the territory of Ukraine remains high.
Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Novopavlivsk areas: the enemy is conducting offensive operations; in other areas – on the defensive.
Units of the Defence Forces repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the vicinities of Bilohorivka, Luhansk Region, and Yampolivka, Rozdolivka, Vasyukivka, Paraskoviyivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Kurdyumivka, and Ozaryanivka, Donetsk Region.
Volyn, Polissya, Siversk and Slobozhansk areas: the situation has not changed significantly, and no offensive groups of the enemy have been detected.
With mortars and artillery, the enemy shelled the areas of Hrinivka and Krasny Khutir settlements of Chernihiv Region; Volfine, Pisarivka and Zapsilya - Sumy and Odnorobivka, Chervona Zorya, Veterinarne, Strelecha, Glyboke, Zelene, Neskuchne, Ternova, Staritsa, Verkhnya Pisarivka, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Budarky and Novomlynsk of Kharkiv Region.
Kupyansk area: the areas of Dvorichna, Vilshana, Sinkivka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Krokhmalne, Berestov, Zeleny Gai, Vyshneve in Kharkiv Region and Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka and Andriyivka in Luhansk Region were shelled.
Lyman area: Makiyivka, Nevske, Chervopopivka, Kreminna and Dibrova in Luhansk Region and Terna and Yampolivka in Donetsk Region were damaged by fire.
Bakhmut area: Spirne, Berestov, Bilogorivka, Rozdolivka, Bakhmut, Diliyivka, Druzhba and New York of Donetsk Region were affected by the shelling.
Avdiyivka area: Severne, Vodyane, Pervomayske Krasnohorivka, Heorhiyivka, Maryinka and Novomykhaylivka came under enemy artillery fire.
Novopavlivka area: Bogoyavlenka, Vugledar, Neskuchne and Velika Novosilka of Donetsk Region were under enemy fire.
Zaporizhzhya area: the areas of more than 15 settlements were affected by enemy artillery fire, in particular, Vremivka and Novopil of Donetsk Region; Poltavka, Malynivka, Chervone, Hulyaypole, Charivne, Novodanilivka, Orihiv, Novoandriyivka of Zaporizhzhya Region and Nikopol - Dnipropetrovsk Region.
Kherson area: Russian occupiers shelled the suburbs and the city of Kherson. There are casualties among civilians.
The enemy continues to suffer losses. About 20 bodies of dead occupiers from the Districts of Novobakhmutivka and Mayorsk were brought to one of the local morgues in Horlivka, Donetsk Region, only on 28 January.
During the day, Ukrainian aircraft struck the enemy's anti-aircraft missile complex and made 2 strikes on the areas of concentration of the occupiers. Missile and artillery units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine hit 2 radar stations, an ammunition depot and one other important enemy object.
