The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has responded to the statement by the Chinese Foreign Ministry that weapons provided by the United States are being smuggled into the hands of criminal groups in Europe and other countries.
"We categorically reject insinuations about the alleged smuggling of Western weapons from Ukraine. Our country has a modern, effective system of control over the receipt and use of weapons, which is highly trusted by our partners. This system is multi-level and completely excludes any possibility of illegal export of weapons," the Foreign Ministry said.
The ministry recalled that instead, Russia is investing numerous resources in disinformation to undermine international military assistance to Ukraine.
"We call on the Chinese side to be guided solely by the facts and not to be a tool in the hands of Russian propaganda," Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko said.
