Parliament has passed the bill on amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Defence Procurement" to introduce transparency in defence procurement (except for information on procurement of defence goods, works and services that constitute a state secret) to ensure the protection of state customers from military threats for the period of martial law in Ukraine.

The law was adopted in the second reading and in general by 264 MPs, LB.ua correspondent reports.

The law introduces reporting on defence procurement, except for defence goods, works and services that constitute a state secret.

It also provides for the publication of reports on defence procurement that have not been published after 24 February 2022 and as of the date of entry into force of this law.

According to the law, state customers or services of state customers are given 30 days before the amendments come into force and 60 days to publish a defence procurement report.
