Rescuers have recovered the bodies of two more victims from the rubble of a house in Zaporizhzhya that was hit by a Russian missile last night, the State Emergency Service press service said as of 7 a.m.

"For more than a day now, the liquidation of the aftermath of a missile attack on a residential building in Zaporizhzhya has been underway. Rescuers continue to work around the clock to search for people under the rubble and dismantle dangerous elements of the building," the statement said.

Rescuers from the Kyiv Mobile Rescue Centre, units of the Zaporizhzhya Region State Emergency Service, the National Police, utilities, doctors and volunteers are engaged in the emergency response.

Yesterday, rescuers found the bodies of four victims, which brings the number of civilians killed in the strike to six. At least seven people were injured. Rescuers have so far saved 11 people and two cats.

The Russians hit the house at night when people were sleeping in their homes.
