The main Leopard battle tanks promised by Germany and Portugal will be delivered to Ukraine by the end of March, reports the European Pravda.
"I can tell you that I have just learned that 18 German Leopard 2A6 tanks and three Portuguese tanks could arrive in Ukraine this month," German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said on the sidelines of a meeting of EU defence ministers in Sweden.
The tanks will arrive in the country with trained crews and can then go to the front.
Also, as reported by the Bundeswehr, 9,000 Ukrainian soldiers will be trained in Germany this year.
This week, Poland will provide Ukraine with 10 more Leopard 2 tanks. Ukraine already received the first four combat vehicles on 24 February.
