The Russians are moving military equipment through occupied Mariupol at night and turning off the mobile network, Petro Andryushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, has said on Telegram.

"Military situation. At night, from 00:30 to two in the morning, the occupiers carried out a large transfer of tanks, fuel trucks and trucks through the city. The direction is being clarified. To ensure security, the entire Phoenix mobile network was turned off," Andryushchenko said.

He noted that "a change in tactics regarding the movement of convoys" is being recorded, which is now accompanied by "problems with mobile communication and the practice of nighttime redeployment".

"(Unfortunately, the occupier learns quickly from Mariupol cotton [euphemism for explosions]," the mayor's adviser said.

On 4 March, a large movement of Russian military equipment was spotted in occupied Mariupol. It was moving in the direction of Manhush and Berdyansk in Zaporizhzhya Region.

Earlier, Andryushchenko said that the Russian occupiers had changed the tactics of moving military columns in Mariupol.
