The European Union's military mission will train more than 11,000 Ukrainian servicemen by the end of March, EU High Representative Josep Borrell said at a briefing.
Another 30,000 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are to be trained as part of the European Union mission by the end of the year.
According to him, the European Union mission will train crews for tanks that will be supplied to Ukraine by NATO member states.
On 8 March, an informal meeting of EU defence ministers takes place in Stockholm under the auspices of the Swedish EU presidency. The first and key issue of this meeting is to accelerate military assistance from the EU to Ukraine in its self-defence against Russian aggression. Ukraine's Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov is taking part in the first session of the meeting.
