Today, EU Ambassadors approved an additional €2 billion to the European Peace Facility, the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU has tweeted.
The decision to this effect was made at an informal summit of EU ambassadors in Stockholm on 8 March.
"This decision sends a clear signal of the EU's enduring commitment to military support for Ukraine and other partners," it said.
On 7-8 March, Stockholm hosted an informal meeting of EU defence ministers. They discussed the EU's military support for Ukraine, especially the training of the Ukrainian armed forces by the EU's assistance mission to Ukraine and the financing of artillery ammunition purchases to support our country.
As a result of the meeting, it became known that the EU military mission will train more than 11,000 Ukrainian servicemen by the end of March.
