The Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) is completely de-energised due to Russian shelling. At about 3:53 a.m., the last line of communication between the occupied ZNPP and the Ukrainian power grid was cut off as a result of enemy missile strikes.

At present, the plant is de-energised and switched to blackout mode for the sixth time during the occupation, units 5 and 6 are being put into the cold mode, 18 diesel generators have been switched on to power ZNPP's own needs, Energoatom (Enerhoatom) reports.

"They have 10 days of fuel left for their work. The countdown has begun. If it is impossible to restore external power to the plant during this time, an accident with radiation consequences for the whole world may occur," the National Nuclear Energy Company said.

All domestic nuclear power plants located in Ukraine-controlled territory have reduced their capacity due to the threat of rocket attacks. As of 6.30 a.m., all power units were generating a total of 4,700 MW into the grid.

Starting from midnight and as of 7:28 a.m., Russia has been attacking Ukraine with missiles. Explosions were heard, in particular, in Kharkiv, Odesa, and Kyiv. There are two wounded in the capital, and several cars caught fire.
