"Unauthorized changes in the design state of nuclear facilities are taking place at ZNPP. The occupiers illegally interfere with the operation of heat and power supply systems and build unknown structures near the backup power plant of unit No 6," Korikov said.

According to him, information about the security situation at ZNPP is not being transmitted to the external crisis centre located in Zaporizhzhya as the occupiers have disabled this communication.

At about 3:53 am on 9 March, the last line of communication linking the occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP to the Ukrainian power grid was cut off as a result of Russian missile strikes. Subsequently, Ukrenergo reported that its specialists had restored power supply to the plant.
