Slovak Defence Minister Yaroslav Nad said on Facebook that Poland had agreed to a joint transfer of MiG-29s to Ukraine.

"I confirm that Poland has officially agreed to send MiG-29s together. At a meeting of EU defence ministers in Sweden on Wednesday, my Polish counterpart confirmed that his country would agree to the joint progress of Slovakia and Poland in transferring the surplus MiG-29s of both countries to Ukraine," he wrote.

Jaroslav Nad stressed that it was time to make a decision, as people were dying in Ukraine. There is no place for Slovak politicisation. It is inhumane and irresponsible.

France is also considering the possibility of transferring its fighter jets (Mirage) to Ukraine. The pilots could be trained in Poland.
