As of 19:00 on 9 March, the most difficult situation with electricity supply is observed in Kharkiv and Zhytomyr regions, the press service of Ukrenergo has said.
"In Zhytomyr Region, we managed to restore power supply to critical infrastructure in the afternoon, repairs are underway in the main and distribution networks," the company said.
It is noted that Russian shelling damaged equipment that had been repaired after the previous three terrorist attacks. As a result of four massive attacks on the energy infrastructure in the region, there were six hits by missiles and three by UAVs.
Repairs in the region may take up to two weeks. Scheduled outages are being implemented to ensure power supply in the region.
Ukrenergo specialists are also working to restore power supply to Kharkiv Region. Critical infrastructure is currently being powered, and backup power supply schemes are being developed. The situation with power supply in Kharkiv Region is expected to be stabilised within a few days.
In addition, planned outage schedules have been introduced in Odesa Region.
