In the near future, Russia's military-political command is planning a large-scale provocation on the border of Ukraine and Belarus, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate has said.

"The main Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov is to arrive in Belarus for detailed coverage of the provocation. On 11 March, it is planned to organize a TV and radio link-up and a live broadcast from the scene for propaganda media in the Russian Federation," the intelligence noted.

Several groups of Russians are arriving in Belarus to carry out the provocation. The intelligence service added that the Russians' plans are likely to threaten the destruction of infrastructure and possible civilian casualties.

"The purpose of the provocation is to create a hostile public opinion towards Ukraine on the part of Belarusian citizens and to ensure the full participation of the country's armed forces in the war on the side of the Russian Federation. We remind you that Ukraine does not conduct any combat operations on the territory of Belarus," the intelligence said.
