Not only is the liberation of the territories a victory for Ukraine, but also the mass destruction of Russians and their military equipment, which is currently taking place in the Bakhmut area, Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar has said on the air of the telethon.
According to her, a large number of Ukrainians want news about the liberation of the territories, as this is what they see as a victory.
"But at the same time, the fact that our brave soldiers have been destroying the enemy and the most powerful, professional Wagner units there [in Bakhmut] for several months in a row is a victory. The fact that a large number of enemy weapons and equipment are being destroyed there is a victory. The fact that today the enemy is actually tied up there, thus reducing its offensive potential, is also a victory," Malyar said.
According to her, the defence of Bakhmut must be maintained, and it should be exactly as it is being carried out by the Armed Forces.
Malyar added that the enemy outnumbers the Ukrainian military in terms of personnel and weapons. But under these conditions, the defenders continue to bravely resist it.
