During the day, Russian troops carried out 22 air strikes and fired 29 times from multiple launch rocket systems, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said.

They also used one Shahed-136 UAV. It was shot down by the Ukrainian military.

They do not seize attempts to storm Bakhmut and break Ukraine's defences near Kupyansk and Lyman. Their offensive actions near Avdiivka and Shakhtarske failed.

The aviation of the Ukrainian Defence Forces carried out 11 strikes on the areas of Russian manpower and one strike on the position of a Russian anti-aircraft missile system. Missile and artillery units struck a Russian command post.

According to the Ukrainian command, dissatisfaction with the actions of the leadership among those mobilised to the Russian armed forces is growing sharply.

"The main reason for the dissatisfaction is the increasing number of cases of using as an attack force those occupiers who were pre-trained to serve in the ranks of support units and have no combat experience. This leads to a sharp increase in the number of casualties, and the 'rear-guard' does not agree to go to their death," the General Staff reported.
