MiG-29 fighter jets will be handed over to Kyiv by a coalition of several countries, Polish government spokesman Piotr Mueller said at a press conference in Warsaw on Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.
"I can only confirm that these decisions (to transfer the MiG-29 to Ukraine - ed.) are made by several countries, but it is not my role to report on behalf of these countries," Mueller said.
He noted that there are explicit declarations as to which countries these will be, but it has been agreed that they will announce it themselves.
Mueller mentioned that, as Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki had said the day before, Poland was ready to make such a decision in the next few weeks, as part of several countries that had decided to take such a step.
