Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has confirmed the personnel changes in the government that are to take place next week.
"Today, at a meeting of the Servant of the People political party faction, we discussed personnel changes in the government, which are planned for next week," Shmyhal said on Telegram.
Those include:
- dismissal of Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet;
- appointment of Oksen Lisovyy as Minister of Education and Science;
- dismissal of Pavlo Ryabikin as Minister of Strategic Industries;
- appointment of Oleksandr Kamyshin as Minister of Strategic Industries.
In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Mykhaylo Fedorov will be in charge of a number of other areas besides digitalization. His future position will be Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
On 18 March, parliament registered the resignation letters of Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet and Minister of Strategic Industries Pavlo Ryabikin, the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in parliament, Taras Melnychuk, said.
Parliament also registered a letter of resignation from Deputy Prime Minister Mykhaylo Fedorov. He is to be reappointed with expanded powers.
