On the night of 18 March, Russians hit non-residential buildings in Yavoriv District of Lviv Region with three UAVs, and three more were shot down by air defence forces, regional military administration head Maksym Kozytskyy has said on Telegram.
"At about 1 a.m., our region was attacked by Shahed 136 kamikaze drones. According to preliminary reports, there were six of them. Three were shot down by our air defence forces. I am grateful to the Air Command West. You saved many lives and a lot of property. It was a very difficult task, because the drones fly low," Kozytskyy said.
Three more drones hit non-residential buildings in Yavoriv District. The buildings got damaged, but there were no casualties.
Last night Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made kamikaze drones from two directions: the eastern coast of the Azov Sea and from Russia's Bryansk Region.
